Mastopexy

Breast lift is generally carried out on an ambulatory basis in the hospital or office under general.  Incisions and resulting scars are around the nipple and beneath the breast with a short connecting limb and described as an "anchor" or "inverted-T" pattern.

Occasionally, a concentric circle or "donut mammoplasty" may be done for lesser cases of sagging to result in only a scar around the nipple.  Many of these same patients may benefit by a small breast implant to replace breast volume lost after pregnancy.

Patients return to work in a few days and the sutures are generally left in about 2 weeks.

You may peruse some breast lift before and after surgical results.
